First case report of specific IgE to spruce wood

Sawmill owner with new onset occupational asthma and positive PEF record while cutting spruce wood. Posutive IgE to spruce using both the HYTEC enzyme immuno-assay (Hycor Biomedical, USA) and Allergopharma, Germany). IgE to Oak and  Fir much lower. Also sputum eosinophilia after 2 weeks exposure to spruce.
