Example anonymised spirometry from the Oasys Server
No personal details are ever sent to or stored on the Oasys Server.

The file below shows an example spirometry record as held on the Oasys Server

All files are stored anonymously and it can be seen that this file contains no personally identifiable data.

The Oasys client program saves all identifiable data on each users computer. This information is never sent to or stored on the Server.

The workplace / company that a patient works for is stored on the server as an encrypted number in case a patient can be identified from the company name. This could happen in single person companies for example. We keep the encrypted number so that if there are a lot of patients in the same company we can alert the users of Oasys about a potential outbreak.

Oasys will not save a record that has the patient name or id in any of the opinions or comments in a record (which are entered as free text) to make sure that these do not inadvertently contain identifiable information.

There could be very rare cases when a patient could be identified from their job, or the agents they are exposed to (in cases where there is only 1 person in the world doing a particular job for example). Users of Oasys are asked to not enter this information in these cases.
