Another definition of work-aggravated asthma
A study of supermarket bakers in South Africa defined work-aggravated asthma as work-related asthma with negative IgE to bakery allergens (occupational asthma were similar except IgE was positive). Acute inhalational exposures with immediate symptoms was more common in those with negative IgE (OR 5.8) than positive IgE (OR 2.8).
